recompas (music)
I formed recompas sometime around 2001 as a vehicle for my solo, laptop-based electronic music. A few years (and several relatively unknown releases) later, I decided that recompas should be about live music, and involve as many of the extremely talented people that I am lucky enough to know. I still on occasion release solo works under this name.
Musically, recompas is based in many musical styles - among them: ambient, krautrock, noise, electro-pop, prog-rock, and jazz.
